The concept of Exit draws from the traditional door locks and latches, and how they metaphorically channel different worlds. Here, the work is trying to understand the connection between people, not only in terms of opposition and confrontation, but also through fusion and coexistence. The use of objects highlights the trivialities of life, bringing forward personal independent behaviour and inner desires.
The three female dancers build an elaborate and highly intensive movement system, from action/reaction mechanisms to swings between fighting, blending and accepting. This dispositive explores the individual’s search for freedom and self-realisation as well as the eternal cycle of creation and destruction, thus revealing the evolution of the performers’ psychological perspectives in an expending behavioural chain reaction.
